In America it is now either Fight or Flight

This is Charles Martel coming to you from Florida and bringing down the hammer for the Canada Free Press, because without America there is no freedom.

Our willfully blind, headlong charge into an abyss of nihilism continues unabated. I voted twice for Donald Trump, and I certainly will vote for him a third time, but any notion that one man and control of both houses of Congress for 4 years will be able to heal our gangrenous and #-riddled body politic and rid us or neutralize the Deep State witch doctors that have led us to sorry position, is a view through rose-colored glasses equal to thinking Joe Biden could master fifth year college Latin in the space of a weekend. We are in for a prolonged battle. Arm yourselves and dig in.

Woke Protest Cancelled Because Of DEI

A scheduled woke protest suffered a setback because one of the left’s standards wasn’t met. In the “You Can’t Make It Up” department, a planned protest at the University of Washington was canceled because it wasn’t “diverse” enough.

Seriously, is there anything more entertaining than watching these spoiled brats fall flat on their narcissistic faces? I haven’t been involved in many physical protests in my life, but it seems to me that if I were planning one, I wouldn’t care who showed up.

Polluted Cities and PM2.5

A recent report stated the following: “Air pollution remains a prevalent health crisis around the world, with many cities recording dangerous levels of air pollution, some over 15 times the recommended annual limit of 5ug/m3 by the World Health Organization. Studies have found evidence that air pollution levels are positively correlated with the risk of disease from stroke, lung cancer, heart disease, and respiratory disease. (1)

UN lobbies to recognize fictitious State of Palestine

The United Nations has become actively involved in lobbying its member states to recognize a fictitious State of Palestine that does not meet the legal requirements for statehood laid down in the 1933 Montevideo Convention.

Under Article 1 of the Montevideo Convention:

“The state as a person of international law should possess the following qualifications: a ) a permanent population; b ) a defined territory; c ) government; and d) capacity to enter into relations with the other states.”

8th Amendment—Then and Now

In 1787, this was no problem. These few words were easily understood, and there was little room for any confusion. For the following 225 years, this provision held up remarkably well. Clearly, this provision was designed to protect those convicted of one sort or another crime. Good, humane treatment of convicts is an obligation of any civilized moral society.

How Durable the American Idea?

The transcendent American idea is declared in the Declaration of Independence and given terrestrial form by the Constitution of the United States. The Declaration proclaims all men are created equal, and the only legitimate form of government is one deriving its powers from the consent of the governed. The reference to men is synonymous with person and makes no distinction based on ethnicity, race, gender, religion, place-of-origin, social standing, rank, or other dimension. The principles of individual sovereignty and equality are considered providential and forever beyond the reach of self-appointed elites, autocrats, kings, or tyrants.
